Joan Rivers agrees with me.

You heard it from InTouch by way of Molly Lambert at Grantland first, folks:

Joan Rivers: “Everything I wear is vintage, which is another word for ‘old.'” Also: “Online dating is the village square of the 21st century.”

Okay, this is from a blog post about a bunch of tabloids. But still! Sounds plausible, and ACCURATE. Now that we no longer live in a world where we have regular contact with yentas and meddling parents, and we’re no longer expected to marry someone we meet in high school/college/work (necessarily), and not everyone lives in small towns where everyone is always up in each others’ business, well, she said it. We need a new Village Square, and the Internet is it. Get on board, kids!

Optional but helpful for me, especially if we know each other IRL or online!
